In fact, some of the torrents that I was seeding without issues a few days back and are still healthy in terms of seeders:leechers won't seed today for some reason. I'm not sure what else to do and would appreciate any help. Not sure why suddenly I can't upload anything. Let me know if you need other info. Private tracker torrents typically have a chronic overseeding problem making it difficult to upload with. I don't think it should be an overseeding issue in this case, although I do agree with you about that being an issue on private trackers.
Though, one of the torrents I've tried seeding was showing about seeders and peers at the moment. A few days back when I was seeding fine, this same torrent had a similar ratio of seeders to peers.
I have at least like torrents with similar ratios that worked before, but do not any longer and also a couple new ones from different trackers too. So I'm thinking it's more likely something on my end, rather than the torrents. Thanks for the quick response btw! What are the "X of Y Z in swarm " numbers for peers and seeds on the general tab for that torrent? While you are right, it still seems strange that I have four torrents up at the moment with peers in swarm between them and that I am constantly connecting to them and then they disconnect immediately, and I am not uploading at all except an occasional 0.
Last night I managed to connect to 1 peer and upload for like 5 minutes maybe, but then it stopped. Also the number of peers I was connected to wasn't changing as fast as it is right now. If my isp was interfering, what steps could I take to find out if that's the case or to get around it?
Also, is it likely an isp issue if usually I don't have this problem? I am with Comcast and am experiencing the same problem Torrents that I seed I am the original seeder usually work overnight but slow to a crawl during the day and refuse to connect to any additional incoming connections with the same errors showing up in the log.
Downloading copyrighted shows, movies and music is illegal , and can attract significant penalties. All the major studios actively track the IP addresses of the computers illegally downloading their works.
They then contact the associated internet service providers ISPs and get them to trace that IP address back to you. In many countries, ISPs are legally obligated to tell the studios who you are.
Note: Some VPN services are free but, as with most things in life, you get what you pay for. Firstly, you need to make sure your Windows Firewall or anti-virus app is not blocking your uTorrent. Although the uTorrent setup wizard will automatically add an exception for uTorrent in Windows Firewall, sometimes this will fail due to your third-party antivirus settings. That is why the more trackers you get the more chances others seeding the same file will give you more chances to get the file sooner.
Adding more trackers on a DHT-enabled torrent only increases load on trackers. It doesn't magically give you more peers. Start new topic. Recommended Posts. Blocked Torrents Some Internet Providers try to block torrent traffic altogether. Comcast, for example, reportedly tried to block all upstream seeding torrent bandwidth. This header is essential, it allows data to get routed to the correct destination, and the correct software program that is looking for that time of incoming data your torrent client.
These headers also make it very easy for your internet provider to filter and block torrent data packets, while allowing the rest of your data to go through unblocked. When you use a VPN, the encryption prevents your ISP from reading these headers, making it impossible to block torrents without blocking everything. This causes your torrent speed to drop bigtime.
